Here are my latest sock designs.

 

All of these patterns are available in .pdf format, or for $2.00 more (for printing and postage in the US) I will print them for you and send them via snail-mail.

 

I take PayPal, personal checks and Money Orders, I will mail your pattern to you ASAP after receiving payment.

These patterns come in a charted format with written instructions for the construction of the sock.
If you see a pattern you want to knit, but the blurb says that there are no line-by-line instructions and you prefer them, please drop me a note and I'll be happy to add the line-by-line instructions to your pattern.

 

All patterns come with full technical support and the skill level required is stated in the pattern description.

UPDATE: All sock patterns are available via direct download from Payloadz. If you wish to order some patterns in .pdf format and some in paper format, you will need to place two orders, as the shopping carts don't work together yet. E-mail me with any questions or problems you have and I'll be happy to make it work. Please accept my apologies for the inevitable glitches that crop up.

Here's another example of a simple textured pattern that looks fabulous. Worked in worsted weight wool, they knit up fast, too.

Sized for a woman's medium foot, they feature a textured cuff and instep with a plain foot and wedge toe.

Yarn: Blue Moon Fiber Arts sport weight 100% superwash wool in shades of blue. The yarn came in one large skein measuring 576 yards, and there was plenty left over.

No-Show Socks

Here's a popular item for teens of both sexes - No-Show Socks. We called them booties when I was a teen, and they are back in fashion again. I've written the pattern with 3 cuff options - Garter, Rolled and Pom-Pom (if you want to go retro!)

Sized for a woman's medium foot, these socks feature a simple turned heel and wedge toe. Add 6-10 more stitches and they'll fit your favorite teen boy.

Skill level: Adventurous Beginner - You need not have made a sock, but you should be familiar with DPN needles.

Yarn: DK weight 100% wool in two shades of green, or about 275 meters DK weight yarn

Gauge: 6.5 stitches and 9 rows per inch

Want something a little different in a cable? This pattern fits the bill! These eccentric cables have a distinct shape while being no harder to work than a traditional, symmetrical cable.

Skill level: Adventurous Beginner - you should be able to knit, purl and be comfortable with YO's and decreases. This would be a good first lacey pattern for someone who is familiar with sock construction.

Yarn: 3 skeins of Cleckheaton cotton/wool yarn for these comfy socks. Any sport weight yarn will do, so long as it has some stretch...About 375 yards worth

Skill level: Adventurous Beginner - you should be able to knit, purl and be comfortable with YO's and decreases. The repeat is only 6 stitches, so even if you've never knit lace, this pattern will likely be do-able.

This would be a good first lacey pattern for someone who is familiar with sock construction.

Yarn: 1+ skeins Plymouth Galway 100% wool yarn - if you find yourself a little short, save the toes for last and work them in a contrasting color, as Kelley did here, or make the cuffs a little shorter. Approx 300 yards worsted weight yarn

These socks are sized for those of us with narrow feet (or those 'tweens in your life.) I guess I would call them a women's small. The pattern is a combination of lace and cables, with the bottom of the foot knit plain. The heel is a Dutch heel with flap and the toe is knit plain.

This pattern comes with charts and instructions but no line-by-line motif instructions.

Morgan's Socks

These socks were knit for my friend, Morgan, in Portland, Oregon. They are sized for a woman's large foot or a man's regular.

This pattern features a Framed Cable all the way down the front and Aran Braids and Plait Cables on either side of the center pattern.

This pattern comes with charts and instructions but no line-by-line motif instructions.

Skill level: Intermediate. You should be familiar with charted designs and Aran-type patterns.

Yarn: 3 skeins of Filatura Di Crosa 501 100% worsted weight superwash wool in color 246, or approx. 375 meters of worsted weight yarn.

Gauge: 20 stitches - 3.25"
