Lacey Bookmark kits for all skill levels! I am offering these kits in handspun lace weight luxury fibers like Soy Silk, Ingeo, Bamboo, Silk, Cashmere blends, Merino and whatever else I can get my hands on to try out. I am offering kits in commercial lace weight yarns as well.

These kits feature a charted lace pattern with written instructions - the patterns will be available in .pdf format for separate purchase if you prefer. Each pattern has two charts - one for lace weight yarn and a narrower, simpler chart for fingering weight yarn that is easy for a beginner to work.

The price for these kits will vary according to fiber content. Each pattern will be available for $2.00 and will be e-mailed to you in .pdf format as soon as I receive payment. If you prefer snail-mail, just send me a note and we'll make arrangements.

This lace pattern is called Horse Shoe and was knit in a commercial slubby silk lace weight yarn in a natural creme color.

Here's Orchid from a Barbara Walker Treasury. This sample was knit with a commercial 100% silk yarn hand-dyed in soft Autumn shades.

Another BW pattern called Lace Diamond Chain worked in hand-dyed commercial silk. This pattern makes an easy first lace project.

Here's my newest design -Trellis-Framed Leaf from a Barbara Walker Treasury. This sample was knit with a commercial 100% silk yarn in a natural off-white color.

Here is an example of the blue hand spun silk worked in a BW pattern called Pearl-Barred Scallop. This picture really doesn't do it justice - the yarn is very shiny and just glows!

Fan Lace

Hand-dyed slubby silk yarn

This pattern is called Fan Lace and is knit in one of my hand-dyed 100% silk colorways (see below) in shades of pink and purple. The yarn is slightly slubby for even more texture. This color reminds me of a water color painting.

Socka cotton fingering yarn

Here's Fan Lace in a fingering weight yarn called Socka Cotton.

A bookmark in fingering yarn? Why not? If you're new to lace this simple pattern worked on only 12 stitches is a quick, easy project that makes a great introduction to lacey knitting (patterning on only the Right Side rows) and makes a great gift for the bibliophile in your life.

Commercial 100% silk yarn in lace weight. This yarn has a slightly nubby texture and is a natural light crème color. This yarn is rather matte in appearance.
