These files can be viewed using Adobe's Acrobat Reader, available for free download all over the 'net - just Google to find it.

As always, if you have a question or problem, I offer as much tech support as your patience and my free time allow!

The free pattern for December 2002 was a bunch of small things, and they can be found on the Small Things page - menu to the left...

Feel free to drop me a note if you have any questions or comments about the patterns. I would love to add pics of your finished projects to my Customer Gallery page...

April 2002 - A Trio of Scarves

This pattern contains 3 different scarf options. All are easy one or two row patterns - easy to memorize and great for take along knitting. I also include several more options for "one row" scarves. An easy introduction to lacey stitches for the beginner.

This scarf and several others are for sale! See the Knitted Goods for Sale page or e-mail me for pics and details.

June 2002 - A Wool Facecloth

A WOOL facecloth? Why, yes! This cloth is rough enough to exfoliate, but soft to the touch as well. It felts slightly over time and with use and feels just great! Of course, you don't HAVE to use wool - it's just one of my favorites. This pattern is also available in a kit with handspun wool in the natural color of your choice.

August 2002 - Triangular Stash Shawl

This pattern is a perfect "first" shawl for a beginner and a simple TV knitting project for the more advanced knitter. Worked from the top down in whatever yarn you have on hand with a sideways knitted on border this shawl is a great stash buster!

This hand spun shawl and another hand spun shawl in dark blue are for sale. E-mail me for pics and details.

May 2002 - A Holiday Stocking

Perfect for Holiday gift giving! Why not start your own handknit stocking tradition? This stocking is a great way to learn about basic sock construction without having to worry about it actually fitting a foot. The top band is knit back and forth and then joined and the leg and foot knit with an "afterthought" heel and contrasting toe. A fairly simple pattern for all skill levels.

July 2002 - Easy Thin Socks

Worked in fingering weight yarn, these socks will fit in most shoes. The instructions are quite chatty and geared towards the beginning knitter. This pattern is worked from the cuff down with a heel flap, Dutch heel and wedge toe.

September 2002 - Easy Worsted Weight Socks

Worked in worsted weight yarn, these socks knit up fast. The instructions are quite chatty and geared towards the beginning knitter. This pattern is worked from the cuff down with a heel flap, Dutch heel and wedge toe

November 2002 - Simple Wimples

No, this is not a garment for a dog, I just didn't have a human model to put it on.  It's a tube that fits over your head and rests on your shoulders but is long enough to pull up over the top of your head for a combination hat/scarf.  The best thing about a wimple (or headover) is that there are no loose ends flying about and it's almost impossible to lose.

I have several of these made up in hand spun yarns that are for sale. E-mail me for details and pics.
